Lady Bears Basketball Update! 🏀 Last night, the Hardin Northern girls basketball teams took on Elgin. The varsity team had an incredible game, defeating Elgin with a final score of 52-47! Leading scorers were Addy Bacon with 21 points and Baylie Bacon with 17 points. HN is now 3 - 0 overall and 1 - 0 in the NWCC. Way to go, Lady Bears! The JV team played hard but came up short, with a final score of 11-34. Lauren Spearman had 6 points. Great job to all our players for giving it your all on the court!🏀

This week in HN1 (half-day preschool class) we have been reading and learning about the story The Gingerbread Man. Today in class we made our very own Gingerbread Man! While the ladies in the cafeteria were baking him he ran away! He left us some yummy treats though and even wrote us a postcard telling us his whereabouts! We can't wait to find out about all the places he travels too!

Last night, we enjoyed the Elementary Christmas Program featuring our talented Kindergarten through 3rd graders and the festive sounds of the 5th and 6th Grade Band Christmas Program! Great job to all of our students-you were amazing! It was so much fun to watch your hard work and holiday spirit shine on stage. Thank you for making the season even brighter!

Jr. High/High School Band & Choir Christmas Concert-Wednesday, December 11th at 6:30 p.m.

Last night, Hardin Northern High School girls took on Ada in a varsity-only game and came out on top with an impressive 56-26 victory! High scorers for the Bears: -Addy Bacon with 19 points -Lainey Thomas with 18 points Great job Bears! Keep it up!

Today the preschool students at Hardin Northern were gifted a bag with hats and gloves that were donated by St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dola, OH. Thank you so much for your generous donation!❄️🧤

We cannot say thank you enough to Theresa Buxton and Jessie Taylor from Hardin Solar Energy Center for their incredibly generous donation! Their support brought so many goodies for the Polar Pantry and the new weekend Polar Power Up Packs program. This generosity will go a long way in helping. Your kindness and commitment to our community, and the support of our students are deeply appreciated!

We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Kauffman, HN’s elementary and Jr. High STEM teacher, has been awarded a $5,000 STEM grant from the Battelle Foundation Fund! This generous grant will go directly toward enhancing our elementary STEM program and supporting the Makerspace, giving our students even more opportunities to explore, create, and innovate. Thank you, Mrs. Kauffman, for your dedication to our students and your commitment to inspiring a love for STEM. Your hard work and passion are making a difference!

Pancake and sausage Breakfast with Santa in the school cafeteria on Saturday, December 14th from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. All you can eat pancakes and sausage. $10 per person. Milk and orange juice is included. There will be a coffee cart available for an additional cost. Takeout orders are also available (3 pancakes and 2 sausages per order).

Last night, the Hardin Northern High School boys basketball teams took the court for their season opener against Liberty Benton. It was an exciting start for our JV team, who fought hard and secured a thrilling 28-26 victory! While the varsity team faced a tough challenge, falling to Liberty Benton with a final score of 68-32, they showed great effort and determination.
