Third-grade students recently stepped into the role of researchers and authors during an exciting informational writing project. As part of their writing curriculum, students selected topics they were curious about, conducted research using a variety of sources, and crafted their own informational texts to teach others.
To cap off the unit, students presented their work to classmates, sharing fun facts and interesting discoveries. Their confidence and enthusiasm were evident as they proudly became the “experts” on their topics.
This project not only strengthened students’ writing skills, but also nurtured their curiosity and independence as learners. It was a rewarding experience for all!
