The 5th grade has read 152 picture books and counting this school year. Each ELA class starts with a picture book. The 5th grade has had many interesting discussions about these books related to theme, figurative language, and main idea. A display is up in the classroom all year of the books that are read, so the students can refer back to them in class and discussions.

Ava Gardner!

On Friday night, the Hardin County Players held their annual TAB Awards! These awards recognize outstanding performances and achievements from musicals across six area schools. Judges attend each school’s production and select nominees in a variety of categories before announcing the winners at the awards ceremony.

Congratulations to Cody Thiel for being awarded Best Male Solo for “Get Your Head in the Game!” Congratulations as well to the cast for winning Best Choreography for “Get Your Head in the Game!”

We are so proud of all of our nominees and the tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, and talent that went into this year’s production of High School Musical Jr. It truly was a fantastic show, and our students represented Hardin Northern in an amazing way. Congratulations to everyone involved!
