Kindergarten tried green eggs and ham! Most were very surprised to find they really do like them! Many students were also surprised to find that they can read the whole book without needing any help. Fun times in kindergarten!

Today is National Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day, and we want to give a huge shoutout to Brian, Scott, and Jeff for everything they do for Hardin Northern. From keeping our building running smoothly to jumping in whenever something needs fixed, your hard work and dedication never go unnoticed. Our school is a better place because of the pride you take in what you do each and every day.

Today, our 5th grade students showed their appreciation by presenting them with a special sign and some candy to say thank you. It was a small gesture for the big impact these three make every day.

We had a great opportunity today as Professor Denman, Band Director from Ashland University, spent time working with our junior high and high school band students. It was a fantastic experience for our students to learn from him, and they gained valuable insight and instruction.

A big thank you to Professor Denman for taking the time to visit Hardin Northern and share his knowledge and passion for music with our Polar Bear musicians. We truly appreciate the opportunity! 🎶🐻‍❄️

Student Choice in Action!

A group of our third-grade students recently extended their learning through a choice board project. Each student selected a project of interest and completed it independently from start to finish.

They demonstrated responsibility, creativity, and true ownership of their work. It was wonderful to see their confidence as they proudly shared their projects with the class. We are so proud of their hard work and initiative!

📚🎉 Celebrating Read Across America Week in 2nd Grade! 🎉📚

Our second graders read The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss and had so much fun bringing math into the story! 👣✨

After reading, students measured their own feet and used the data to create line plots. We combined reading and math in the best way — hands-on, engaging, and full of smiles! 📏📊
