Student Choice in Action!
A group of our third-grade students recently extended their learning through a choice board project. Each student selected a project of interest and completed it independently from start to finish.
They demonstrated responsibility, creativity, and true ownership of their work. It was wonderful to see their confidence as they proudly shared their projects with the class. We are so proud of their hard work and initiative!

Our second graders read The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss and had so much fun bringing math into the story! 👣✨
After reading, students measured their own feet and used the data to create line plots. We combined reading and math in the best way — hands-on, engaging, and full of smiles! 📏📊

Yesterday, the Ohio Middle Level Association hosted its Northwest Ohio Region Breakfast of Champions at Bluffton University, celebrating the outstanding middle level students from across the region.
The event featured a keynote address from Jerry Snodgrass, former executive director of the OHSAA and Hall of Fame coach who shared an inspiring message with students and families about using adversity to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Hardin Northern is very proud of Brody Halsey and Tatum Dale who were both honored as a regional champion! Both of these students were recognized for their exceptional character, leadership, academic achievement, and service to our school! Hardin Northern is incredibly proud of the example that both Brody and Tatum exemplify every day at HNHS! Congratulations to both of these well-deserving students! Go Bears!

First grade spent some time studying clouds and different types of weather. They wrote facts about each type of weather, read books, and made crafts that explained the water cycle and different toys of clouds.
