Hardin Northern played in the Waynesfield-Goshen Invite on Monday, August 12th. Twelve teams participated and HN played seventh. HN’s team score was 384. Leading the Bears was Justin Thiel with an 80 and Preston Grappy with an 88. HN team players for this Invite: Justin Thiel, Preston Grappy, Xaviour Emerine, Cody Thiel, Alex Gatchell, and Kylie Lenhart. #HNProud

2024-2025 Calendar Highlights

Let's step back in time today with our 1979 baseball team! Spot any familiar faces? Share your favorite baseball memories and tag your teammates!

Meet Mr. Mast... "I have been teaching at Hardin Northern since 2000 and will begin my 30th year of teaching in the fall. I teach high school math including CCP Calculus, Trigonometry, and College Algebra. I grew up in Defiance, Ohio, where I graduated in 1991. I then went to Marietta College to play baseball where I earned my bachelors in mathematics and my 7-12 teaching certificate. I began my teaching career in 1995 at Parkway Middle School. I came to Hardin Northern in 2000 to teach junior high math. Over the years I have coached girls basketball, boys basketball, volleyball and baseball at different levels. In addition to teaching I am also the Athletic Director and the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. I have been married to Jessica Mast, who teaches third grade at HN, for 11 years. We have 4 children, 3 of which attend HN. Everett will be in 1st grade, Hayes who will be in 3rd grade, Maddux who will be in 5th grade and Carson who will be a Freshman at Liberty-Benton. We stay busy with their many school activities and athletic events but we enjoy every minute of it. I have been blessed to spend most of my career at a school as great as Hardin Northern and I am proud to be a Polar Bear!"

HN Marching Band Summer Practice Dates

Volleyball players in grades 7-12 wrapped up their team camp on Wednesday. Players focused on fundamentals along with ways to improve effort and attitude. Awards were given out to those who stood out in areas of effort and attitude.
