Today, our junior high and high school students took on the Hardin Northern Grit Rally Challenge and had an absolute blast! They had the choice to compete in an intense dodgeball showdown or enjoy other activities like board games, chess, and cards. No matter what they chose, it was all about teamwork, fun, and showing that Polar Bear spirit! 🐻❄️
A huge congratulations to the seniors for taking home the dodgeball championship! 🏅👏 Way to go!
Great job to everyone who participated and made today such a fun and competitive event.

Mrs. Mast's class is wrapping up their fossil unit in Science with some hands-on learning. Today they excavated fossils using small tools like a paleontologist. They each found a different fossil; some examples were shells, shark teeth, and sand dollars.

The second grade has been learning all about endangered and extinct animals, and they wrapped up their unit with an exciting dinosaur dig! It was a lot of fun, and the kids had a great time exploring and discovering. What a great way to bring learning to life!

Mrs. Hipsher is getting kids geared up for this year's Author Visit with Bruce Hale! This week in the library, students have enjoyed Hale's Clark the Shark fiction books and learning about real sharks through non-fiction books. They have been creating their own colorful sharks, writing facts about sharks, and writing descriptions of Clark the Shark. The Author Visit is scheduled for Thursday, May 15.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Justin Thiel!

Kindergarten worked hard leading up to Saint Patrick’s day creating leprechaun traps! We knew that the leprechaun would be around on March 17 so we worked together to come up with traps. Unfortunately that leprechaun got through the traps and even ate the bait (lucky charms cereal) we set out for him. But he wrote us a long letter and even gave us some chocolates. Now we are writing all about him. We created "wanted" posters, made a craft explaining what we would do with his gold, and gave our opinions on if we think he is nice or sneaky. Fun times in March!

Yearbook orders are due by May 15th.

Way to go Charlie! He has made it in the sight word club for the second time for being able to write 100 sight words!

Teachers,
In solidarity of supporting public schools in Ohio, schools across Ohio are wearing red shirts and jeans tomorrow. If you wear red, you may also wear jeans as well.
